How MainStreetRadar checks every business checking bonus and fee against the bank's own terms, dates each figure, and corrects or removes it.

Last updated October 25, 2026

Where the facts come from

Bonus amounts, deposit and balance requirements and end dates come from the bank’s own offer page, account agreement and fee schedule. Each bonus links to them. Tax dates and rules come from irs.gov and the Internal Revenue Code. Blogs, forums and news coverage are leads to check, never sources.

Dates

Every bonus shows the date we last checked it against the bank’s terms. When an offer’s end date passes, it moves to “Recently ended”. An offer with no stated end date stays up until the bank withdraws it, and we re-check it twice a week.

Plain English, not paraphrase

We rewrite conditions in plain English and keep every requirement that decides whether you get the bonus: who is eligible, how much you must deposit and by when, how long you must keep the balance, how many transactions, and how long the account must stay open. If a condition is unclear in the bank’s terms, we say so rather than guess.

Taxes

Tax pages explain federal rules for the most common small-business situations and say who they do not cover. State rules differ; where a state rule matters, we say which state. We update tax pages when the IRS publishes new figures, and every tax page shows when it was last checked.

Corrections

If you spot a mistake, email hello@mainstreetradar.com. We fix factual errors as soon as we have checked them, and note significant corrections on the page.

Independence

No bank can review a page before publication or pay for a position. See how we make money.
